  • A Master’s level qualification from a nationally recognised/certified University in a related discipline and 5 years' post-related experience. Acceptable alternative: Bachelor’s level qualification with 8 years' post-related experience, or an equivalent education combined with an appropriate amount of relevant, professional experience.
  • Proven track experience in Project management with extensive knowledge in methodologies such as PRINCE 2®, PMI or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience.
  • Minimum five years’ experience working as an engineer with a direct responsibility to develop a significant piece of hardware or software.
  • Strong understanding of Systems Engineering principles and methodologies demonstrated through both academic qualifications and hands-on experience.
  • Minimum five years’ experience in armament projects.
  • Good knowledge of military systems (GBAD) engineering principles with practical experience in system design and development.
  • Understanding of equipment procurement procedures.
  • NATO's official languages are English and French. The work of this post requires fluency in English, while working knowledge of French is desirable.

POST DETAILS

  • The successful candidate will be appointed at the lower grade.
  • Basic monthly salary:
    • A3 grade: EUR 9 674.26, tax free - before insurance and pension contributions.
    • A4 grade: EUR 11 231.51, tax free - before insurance and pension contributions.

IMPORTANT NOTES

Qualified redundant NATO civilian candidates of the same grade will be considered in priority.

Interviews are expected to be held approximately six weeks after the application closing date. The Talent Acquisition and Development Office shall let you know in due course the outcome of the screening process.

Moreover, due to the broad interest in NSPA and the large number of potential candidates, telephone or email enquiries cannot be dealt with.
