- Full higher technical school (in mechanics or electro-mechanics), or equivalent education or relevant professional experience.
- Not less than three years of experience in mechanics or electro-mechanics.
- General knowledge of ground-based radar sensor equipment, especially of mechanical elements present in military long-range 3-D radar sensors and communications equipment.
- Practical experience in the preventive maintenance of mechanical elements gained in either military maintenance activity or in a similar civilian activity.
- Sound digital literacy with experience in using office automation systems and software applications, e.g. Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Specialised knowledge and several years of experience in the area of NDI methods, with particular emphasis on Vibration Analysis (VA) and Oil Analysis (OA).
- Ability to use the interactive technical manuals and repair the mechanical systems in accordance with the instructions.
- Proficiency in technical writing.
- NATO's two official languages are English and French. The work of this post is mainly conducted in English, therefore fluency in that language is essential and working knowledge of French is desirable.
