- Full higher technical school or equivalent education.
- Not less than seven years of experience in the IS field, and more particularly in networking and telecommunications.
- Broad technical background in the area of IT (including Operating System Technology, Systems Security and network sniffer devices).
- In-depth knowledge in the area of network and telecommunications technology, including the standards applicable and the software/hardware environments and architecture used in implementing them.
- Good understanding of Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) when used for automatic network monitoring, operating etc.
- Good experience with problems of running Local Area Network (LAN) services (mail, file transfer, drive sharing and printing) over a Wide Area Network (WAN), especially for frame- relay based WAN solutions.
- Ability to work independently, to be self-motivated, to work under stress and tight deadlines.
- NATO's two official languages are English and French. The work of this post is mainly conducted in English, therefore fluency in that language is essential and working knowledge of French is desirable.

- Basic monthly salary: EUR 7 177.55, tax free.
- Deployment will be expected to specified areas in support of approved operations/missions throughout the contractual period.
