- University degree (Bachelor or Master Degree) in civil engineering.
- Other Engineering disciplines may be acceptable depending on work experience.
- 10 years’ experience in the civil construction industry.
- Experience in managing contracts with multiple prime-contractors operating simultaneously within one project.
- Experience in the overall construction management of concrete pavements, pre-engineered metal buildings and building refurbishment.
- Experience in the overall project control within infrastructure projects: Cost, Scope and Schedule.
- Experience in communication between project owner, customer and national authorities.
- Familiarity with data interpretation from topographic surveys & geotechnical in situ testing.
- Familiarity with Dutch Construction codes & regulations and Dutch Health & Safety regulations.
- Familiarity with Dutch Infrastructure commissioning and handover process.
- Familiarity with data interpretation from Microsoft Project or equivalent software (for example Primavera).
- Proficiency in technical report writing.
- Experience related to airfield construction projects would be an asset.
- Experience in technical management of NATO projects and/or similar experience would be an asset.
- Knowledge of onsite quality assurance control mechanisms.
- The incumbent must hold, or be able to obtain, a valid "NATO SECRET" security clearance.
POST DETAILS
- This post is deployable. The incumbent of this post may be required to deploy or may be assigned to a remote location, to perform duties (inside or outside a theatre/deployment location) in support of Council approved operations/missions or in support of national or multinational operations/missions authorised by the Agency Supervisory Board of NSPO.
- Contract duration: 12 months (on-call)
- Level: III

In accordance with the NATO employment regulations, the contract will be established for
a 12-month period (on-call). The working language will mainly be English.
The duty stations will be the Netherlands or any other area as required.
