STATEMENT OF WORK

Knowledge of the following is required:

  • University degree in Naval Architecture
  • National Professional Engineering License or equivalent
  • At least 10 years’ experience in working with shipyards, classification societies or other marine/naval engineering organizations, for the development and managing of marine/naval
    projects (warships or other vessels, and their embarked systems), including requirements development, systems engineering activities, design, acquisition, maintenance, configuration
    control and capability upgrades.
  • Proficiency in writing technical documents and correspondence in the English language
  • Knowledge of information systems with experience in using personal computers and software
    packages.
  • Good knowledge of one of the two official NATO languages and adequate knowledge of the
    other.
  • A "NATO SECRET" security clearance.
  • Fluency in English lenguage.

IMPORTANT NOTES

In accordance with the NATO employment regulations, the contract will be established for
a 9-month period. The duty stations will be  Luxembourg or any other area as required.

The Talent Acquisition and Development Office shall let you know in due course the outcome of the screening process.

Moreover, due to the broad interest in NSPA and the large number of potential candidates, telephone or email enquiries cannot be dealt with.

The Agency would appreciate it if addressee countries could provide their support by submitting candidates whose security clearance can be effected (or confirmed) rapidly and who could report for duty as soon as possible after selection.

Please note that if you currently hold a military or administration post, you will be required to decide, in accordance with your national authorities' regulations, whether to retire or resign from your post, or apply for special leave from your national authorities. If you are invited to a preliminary interview, you will be asked to indicate your preference at that time as well.
